For those who think that their pain will be over once the operation is done, then they must be open to the possibility that they still have to undergo several stages of pain and bleeding before they overcome the illness.

Things You Usually Experience After Hemorrhoid Operation

1. Pain. Commonly happens to people after the surgery. The pain usually occurs in your anal area. Any bowel movement which will happen to you will be painful. To remedy and ease the pain, it is suggested that you eat high fiber food to soften the stool coming out of your rectal area. As much as possible, avoid any hyper activities which will cause you to stretch and strain your anal muscles. You can lay down with your front if you want to rest. As for water treatments, a sitz bath is suggested to give relief to your anal pain.

2. Itching. After the hemorrhoid operation, the feeling of itchiness occuring in your rectal area is normal. It means that you are slowly healing your wounds from surgery. The itching comes from the incision done in your anal section where the scars are supposed to be found. Usually, the treatment with this itching thing would be sitz bath. You will feel total relief once you dip yourself into the warm water tub.

3. Infection. This is expected and anticipated after the operation. The infection would only occur if there is too much contact of stool with you anal incisions. If this happens, the patient would most likely have fever because of infection. The condition must be reported immediately to the physician for it to be applied with immediate medications.

4. Bleeding. Bleeding naturally occurs after a hemorrhoid operation. You would usually see droplets of blood while you pee or poo in the toilet. But to make sure, see if there’s too much blood because then it needs to be reported immediately to the doctor.

5. Nausea. It naturally happens after the operation is done. It’s actually a side effect from anesthetic drugs injected onto the patient during the surgery. Or it could also be pain medications prescribed by doctors. To avoid being nauseous, the patient is required to put food in his tummy before he takes the medication.
