Yoga is a wholeness exercise that can heal both the mind and the body. But do you know that it is quite effective for hemorrhoids too? Here are two amazing yoga postures that can help you get rid of those itchy, painful, and very uncomfortable hemorrhoids. Try them and be impressed!
#1: Sarvanga Asana
Sarvanga Asana is also referred to as the Candle Pose. It is performed by lying on your back and then lifting your buttocks all the way up. When you assume this position, your legs should be as straight as possible.
You may use your arms to support your buttocks and hold the stance for several seconds.
If you are quite familiar with the shoulder stand position, this one is very similar to that. You’re going to need both flexibility and balance to hold the stance very well.
And make sure that you lift your body at a 90 degree angle, with your legs in line with your spine.
Hold the pose for 10 seconds before slowly curling back down.
Repeat 4 times.
This position can also help reduce stress, aside from alleviating the different symptoms of hemorrhoids. With the blood freely flowing from your toes to your head and then back, you can very well be sure that any clots on the rectal area will be lessened in time.
Position #2 Matsya Asana
This position is also referred to as the Fish Posture. To do it, you have to lie on your back with your hands on your sides. Then bend your knees completely.
You can put your knees under your body, bend them pointing up, or simply assume the lotus posture. After which, you have to arch your back.
Slowly lift your chest, while keeping your head on the floor.
You can use your hands for support.
Keep this position for 30 seconds, then repeat 4 times.
This position is beneficial to people with hemorrhoids as it can open any form of blockage in the body. The position relieves congestion and will help in the proper functioning of the heart.
When done regularly, you will feel less pain and discomfort caused by hemorrhoids.
Yoga is a very effective practice in keeping the body fit and healthy. If you have tried many other methods to treat hemorrhoids and they just keep on recurring, this may be the ultimate solution that you haven’t tried just yet.
Aside from these two positions, you may also try Balasana or the Child’s Pose; Viparita Karani or Legs Up the Wall; and Malasana or the Garland Pose.
All of these can give you eventual relief from hemorrhoids, as well as many other health issues.
