Three Signs That Your Hemorrhoids are Recovering

The relief you will experience after discovering that you hemorrhoids healed is nothing short of phenomenal – the feeling of euphoria could overwhelm you, making tears of joy flow on your face. If you’re a current sufferer, you must faithfully follow your doctor’s advice, unless if you want these swollen masses of blood vessels all over your anal and rectal areas. If your hemorrhoids are on the road to recovery, your body will let you know. Here are some of the signs:

You feel excessively gassy

Regardless if you have hemorrhoids or not, feeling gassy is never a pleasant experience, especially if you’re pregnant or if you have diarrhea. Although gas in the stomach can be caused by almost everything (from the organs and the gut bacteria) in your stomach and intestines, legumes and lentils are the primary protagonists. That bowl of baked beans you ate last night may have looked unassuming. but since they are making you feel like you need to fart like crazy, they are actually helping you deal with hemorrhoids. How?

Beans contain several grams of fiber – two bowls of baked beans are enough to give you your daily requirement. That being said, high consumption of this carbohydrate (especially as a hemorrhoid treatment method) will render your digestive system to produce a lot of gas. Other than legumes, consuming vegetables like Brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower will produce the same effect.

Your waste goes out smoothly

Although this subject matter might seem to be too uncomfortable to discuss, the way you deal with your toilet sessions is one way of knowing if your hemorrhoids are starting to heal. One of the main causes of hemorrhoids is constipation, a condition wherein your stools are unnaturally rock-hard and difficult to expel, given that you will be required to dish out a great deal of force in order to kick them out.

If your stool goes out effortlessly for a couple of sessions (and no, diarrhea does not count in this case),
then it’s a sign that you are no longer constipated and your hemorrhoids are starting to recover. Once the pressure caused by potty sessions start to recede, the swelling will start to do the same as well. Remember, in order to avoid constipation, add more fiber and water into your diet!

It’s still there, but not as painful as before

If you have external hemorrhoids, the pain and discomfort you must have been feeling is borderline unbearable. Purple-colored external ones are the worst: they are called thrombosed hemorrhoids, due to the formation of a blood clot inside them. That being said, they are still there but the pain is gone, then they’re obviously recovering and shrinking.

The same can be said in the case of internal hemorrhoids. Although they are not that painful, they can bleed. If the amount of bright red blood is limited to a few drops or completely nonexistent, then they are recovering.

As a precaution and way to ensure that your hemorrhoids will fully recover, just continue with your treatment regimen even if you’re experiencing the above mentioned signs. Regardless if you’re resorting to fiber supplements from the local pharmacy or home made remedies, keep it up and don’t stop weeks after they’re gone!
