Snacks Which Will Make Toilet Sessions as Smooth as Possible

Snacking nowadays is either a must or a guilty pleasure. Kitchen pantries and refrigerators are usually filled with tons of goodies and ready-to-eat food, compared to ones which have to be prepared. This is one of the reasons why we Americans are facing the obesity and hemorrhoid epidemic: over snacking and bad food choices lead to various health problems, both minor and major.

It’s never too late to dispose of the potato chips, sugary cakes, overly-sweet chocolates and pastries that will dramatically increase the calorie counter. Enforcing a healthy lifestyle takes a lot of discipline, time and effort and commitment on your part. Though the road ahead seems tough, it doesn’t mean you can’t munch on extremely tasty – and healthy – snacks. Here are some suggestions:

Deep Fried Spinach Chips instead of Potato Chips

Although this favorite of Popeye’s doesn’t exactly give you anchor-strong muscles, a hundred grams of the stuff guarantees a steady amount of vitamin A, dietary fiber and calcium, making it a healthy snack. It is also relatively easy to prepare – prepare some freshly cut leaves, dip them in battered eggs (you can do without these) and deep fry them. As for the taste, they feel like regular potato chips: if you want more flavor, prepare a cheese or a sour cream dip!

Dried or Fried Green Peas

Green peas are rich in protein, vitamin A and fiber, making it a healthful snack and something which will make your toilet sessions as good as smooth-sailing as possible. Although some people find these little green balls an abhorrent sight if on their dinner plates, it is actually way tastier if eaten as a snack (either dried or fried).

Popcorn – Plain or with Little Flavoring

Surprised to find everyone’s favorite snack in movie theaters in this list? Well, don’t be – popcorn is chockfull of nutrients including protein, fiber and iron and magnesium. However, keep in mind to minimize flavoring – cheese and sour cream powders have an insanely high amount of salt. Anyway, instead of French fries and potato chips, just prepare a bowl of popcorn and munch away!

Mixed Nuts

Underrated and underappreciated, mixed nuts are one of the healthiest snacks out there. Usually, a pack consists of peanuts, almonds, walnuts, pecans, cashews, pistachios and hazelnut. A cup a day will give load your body with magnesium, calcium, iron, vitamin B6, protein and fiber. If you’re worried about pimples, don’t worry – nuts don’t cause acne growth and in fact, there’s no link between them and diet. Unless if you’re allergic to nuts, munch away and don’t stop – they’re pretty healthy!

Dried Fruits
If you are looking for something sweet, toss out the packed cakes, pastries, candy bars and other calorie-rich food and replace them with dried fruit. Usually, dried fruits take the form of apricots, strawberries, grapes (raisins) and finally, the heavenly mangoes. Though they may appear dull and wrinkled, their taste is more concentrated, thus giving them a more distinct and strong flavor. That being said, they dish out high amounts of vitamins, as well as fiber.

So, the next time you go grocery shopping, look for these snacks. They’re guaranteed to make your toilet sessions easier and your waste a tad friendlier. There are also little or no health repercussions in eating these – just be sure to eat them in moderation and drink a lot of water to help eliminate hemorrhoids!
